The Non-Proliferation Trust, “NPT”
The Non-Proliferation Trust ("NPT") was created to privately finance and administer funding for critical non-proliferation, environmental, and humanitarian initiatives in Russia.
NPT is a Delaware corporation owned by three charitable U.S. trusts. The trusts were formed to fund and oversee key initiatives in their respective areas. NPT is hoping to raise $15 billion by constructing and operating a spent fuel storage facility in Russia. The proceeds would be used for nuclear disarmament, security of weapons facilities, and conversion to commercial uses, jobs and training for nuclear scientists, environmental clean-up and humanitarian purposes.
